Field Day is a day of fun and sun - please be prepared for a day outside (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen etc.), water will be provided.

May Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Josi Kelley – Josi is the May Volunteer of the Month!

 
 
 
Josi, Mom to Sterling, 4th grade and Spencer, alumni of Harrington, currently in 8th grade, has been part of Harrington PTA for many years.
 
Josi is frequently at events with a smile, a helping hand and with great sense of humor. Josi has been chair at Culture night for many years, which is always a great success, but her largest contribution is Chair of the Harrington Yearbook.
 
The Harrington Yearbook is one of the most sought after keepsakes each year. PTA has been incredibly lucky to have her services for NINE years!
Yes, for nine years Josi has collected pictures from school events, field trips, class parties, and assemblies. Over the years she has worked hard to streamline the process which ensures that the best Harrington photos get publish for all to see.
 
Have you thought about how the yearbook gets assembled? The amazing covers, the magical flow of the pages…As you can imagine it’s not any easy task; it takes time, energy, methodical assembly, verifying events, collecting photos and students bios. It’s a process that she passionately engages in for the love of her community.
 
When asked why she loves to volunteer at Harrington:
“I truly enjoy being part of the community! Volunteering also allows me to spend more time with my child, plus you get to know and appreciate the teachers, the staff and the parents even more. Without a doubt, volunteering makes schools better!”

Side Note – Josi is also Harrington’s Crossing Guard – She has been making sure students get to school & home safely AND making sure we are all safe to move on to the rest of our days. This is just another way she shows her dedication to the community.

PISD Volunteer Application

Each year (beginning July 1st), individuals must submit an application in order to volunteer at PISD. Applications take several days to process and all requirements must be approved prior to volunteering.
