We are proud to offer "Fine Arts University 2001" for students who have completed FAU 1001 Intro to Art. Students who are serious about art and further study in creative arts are encouraged to enroll.
FAU 2001 courses focus on one area of art, such photography and video, sculpture, fashion design and animation in order to teach a more advanced lesson to students who are serious about art.
Spring 2021 features a Sculpture class
- Students are taught by Amber Lee with guest creative artists who introduce a specific medium or specialty
- Guest artists examples are a ceramicist who would throw clay on a wheel and a sculptor who uses multimedia to create art
- Classes are once a week for 6 weeks 2:45pm-4:15pm
- Classes are limited to 16 total students, 3rd-5th graders who have completed one FAU 1001 Intro to Art course
- Students will learn:
- Basics of various forms of 3D art such as paper mache, wire sculpture, carving, multimedia
- How to use tools and other mediums to create the art
- Sketchbook techniques including note taking for the regular classroom
- Cost per student is $105 which includes supplies needed for all projects plus fees
- Students will go home with a set of supplies and completed projects
